Injection of DNA into mouse eggs for the production of transgenic mice or embryos. Cost: The Core Service will inject DNA provided by the investigator into 150 eggs per construct per line. After injection, the eggs are then transferred to the oviduct of three or four pseudopregnant recipients. If a minimum of 2 founders per transgenic construct are not obtained, the facility injects an additional 80 eggs at no extra coast. If after a second injection session there are still no founders, no future microinjections will be performed. A meeting will be held between the investigator, facility director, and technical personnel to discuss future effects. One week after birth, we will cut toes, and send to the investigator who is responsible to do genotyping. Upon 3 weeks after birth, pups are separated and transferred to the investigator.
