Injection of embryonic stem cells into blastocysts for the production of chimeric mice. C57B1/6 X B6D2F1 blastocysts injection to produce knockout/in mice Embryonic stem cell clones to be provided by the investigator will be microinjected into a minimum 60-80 blastocysts per session. After injection, the blastocysts are transferred into the oviduct of 0.5 day psudopregnant female and allowed to develop to term. Upon weaning 3 weeks after birth, at least 2 chimeric mice are transferred to the investigator. The core facility cannot guarantee germline transmission. Difficulties in creating chimeric mice |
