Overview of Gene Research
Ivns1abp, also known as Influenza Virus NS1A Binding Protein, belongs to the Kelch family of proteins. It plays a central role in actin cytoskeleton dynamics by directly associating with F-actin and protecting against actin derangement. It is involved in modulating macrophages' response to cytokines and phagocytic potential in inflammation, and may be a critical regulator of the macrophage phenotype and function under inflammatory conditions [3].

A whole-genome sequencing analysis in a primary immunodeficiency (PID) cohort identified Ivns1abp as a new candidate PID-associated gene, suggesting its potential role in immune-related processes [1]. In gastric cancer, circDUSP16 acts as a sponge of miR-145-5p, which attenuates circDUSP16-induced IVNS1ABP expression, indicating its involvement in tumor-related mechanisms [2]. In shrimp, acute hypoxia stress up-regulates Ivns1abp, and this may be related to the impact of hypoxia on immune-related gene expression and susceptibility to Vibrio parahaemolyticus infection [4].

In conclusion, Ivns1abp is involved in multiple biological processes such as immune-related responses, macrophage function in inflammation, and tumor-associated mechanisms. Its role in these areas, as revealed through various research models, provides insights into understanding related biological functions and disease mechanisms.
