Overview of Gene Research
Serpina3m is a gene whose exact function and associated pathways are still being explored. However, its up-regulation has been linked to multiple disease-related processes, indicating its importance in disease-associated biological mechanisms. Mouse models are valuable for studying Serpina3m's role in vivo.
In one study, activation of POGZ-bound endogenous retroviruses was associated with up-regulation of Serpina3m, suggesting its potential connection to the disease mechanism caused by POGZ dysfunction [1].
