Overview of Gene Research
Zc3h6, whose functions and associated pathways are not comprehensively detailed in the provided references. However, it has been implicated in various disease-related studies.

In primary Sjögren's syndrome (pSS), the circular RNA circ-ZC3H6 was significantly upregulated in minor salivary gland (MSG) biopsies and plasma exosomes of pSS patients, and its expression was correlated with clinical features, serum IgG level, and MSG focus scores, indicating its potential as a non-invasive biomarker for pSS diagnosis [1].

In pediatric nasopharyngeal carcinoma (pNPC), ZC3H6 was frequently mutated, with a mutation frequency of 16.7%, suggesting its possible involvement in the development of pNPC [2].

In a study on idiosyncratic liver injury, Zc3h6 was upregulated when bavachin and epimedin B were co-exposed under immunological stress conditions, and the differentially expressed genes were associated with metabolic and immune system processes [3].

In multiple myeloma (MM), ZC3H6 was one of the eight hub genes in a prognostic signature based on RNA-binding protein-related genes, which could classify MM patients into high-and low-score groups, showing its significance in predicting the prognosis of MM patients [4].

Also, a CNV altered the ZC3H6 gene in a study related to neural tube defects, though its exact role in this context remains unclear [5].

In summary, Zc3h6 shows potential associations with multiple diseases including pSS, pNPC, idiosyncratic liver injury, MM, and possibly neural tube defects. These disease-related findings suggest that Zc3h6 may be involved in various biological processes related to disease development and progression, and further functional studies, perhaps through gene knockout or conditional knockout models in the future, could help to better understand its precise biological functions.
