Lance Han, an engineer-turned-entrepreneur, is the founder and CEO of Cyagen Biosciences. A Tsinghua University alumnus, he earned advanced degrees from McGill University and an MBA from Queen’s University, with research experience at MIT that sparked his passion for biotechnology.
In 2006, leveraging his background in engineering, IT, and business, he established Cyagen, which has since become a global leader in innovative in vitro and in vivo solutions for life sciences research and drug development.
As the Chief Scientific Officer at Cyagen, Dr. Ouyang oversees the company’s scientific operations and strategic development of genetically engineered mouse model services. With over two decades of experience in the field, Dr. Ouyang has led innovations that have advanced Cyagen’s global leadership in custom model generation.
He is passionate about bridging cutting-edge technologies with translational research to accelerate biomedical discoveries. Before joining Cyagen in 2012, Dr. Ouyang served as the head of Molecular Biology at Taconic Biosciences.
