Strain Description
Sprr1a-iCre mice are generated via genome editing by replacing the TAA stop codon of the mouse Sprr1a gene with a P2A-iCre cassette, enabling expression of iCre recombinase (codon-optimized Cre) under the control of endogenous Sprr1a regulatory elements. The expression pattern of iCre recombinase mirrors that of the endogenous Sprr1a gene. When crossed with mice containing loxP sites, Cre-mediated recombination between loxP sites is expected to occur in Sprr1a-positive cells of the offspring.
