For the Kl model, the IRES-iCre-6*HIS tag-WPRE-BGH pA cassette was inserted downstream of the TAG stop codon. In this model, the iCre recombinase (Cre after codon optimization, with higher recombination activity than Cre) is expressed under the drive of the regulatory elements of the mouse Mitf gene.
