Overview of Gene Research
Lonrf3, as an E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase, is involved in the process of transferring activated ubiquitin from ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes to protein substrates, conferring substrate specificity, which is important in biological processes related to cancer [2].
In breast cancer research, LONRF3 was screened as one of the prognostic signature genes from M2-like tumor-associated macrophage-related genes. These genes were used to establish a RiskScore model, which might provide potential therapeutic targets for breast cancer [1]. In pancreatic cancer, LONRF3 was among the differentially expressed genes with prognostic significance. However, no KO/CKO mouse model-based findings were presented in the provided abstracts.
