Territory Manager

Cyagen seeks a Territory Manager for the Mid-Atlantic Region. This is a home-based, remote position requiring 50-75% travel.

Job Description:

The Territory Manager is responsible for calling on potential and existing clients in academic, biotechnology, pharmaceutical and contract research organizations within the territory, and meeting or exceeding the territory sales plan.

The Territory Manager must become proficient in understanding Cyagen’s services and products (custom animal models, DNA vectors, and other cell and molecular biology products and services). Duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide customer service, quotes, and consultations to prospective and existing customers.
  • Facilitate decision-maker level meetings with Sales Director or Technical/Scientific Staff.
  • Identify and qualify new leads through proactive site visits, walking halls, and outbound phone and email communications with potential clients.
  • Meet or exceed sales goals by actively generating new leads, consistently following up with prospects, asking for business, and working with both sales leadership and technical departments to meet customer needs.
  • Maintain good working relationships with all clients within the territory.

Qualifications:

  • PhD in biology.
  • Previous experience with animal models, virus packaging, &/or DNA cloning is desired. Ability to work independently under little supervision.
  • Team player with a “can-do” attitude.
  • Attention to detail is a must.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications. 
  • Desire to learn.
  • Sales experience preferred.

Chief Scientist & Group Leader Positions

Job Description:

We are looking to fill several chief scientist and group leader positions in several areas that we are aggressively expanding into, including:

  • In vivo oncology drug screen platform using mouse models of patient-derived xenograft.
  • In vitro oncology drug screen platform using cancer cell lines.
  • Drug PD/PK assessment platform using animal models (rodents, primates, etc.).
  • Comprehensive mouse phenotyping platform.
  • Platform for the production, maintenance and analysis of germ-free mice.
  • Platform for monoclonal antibody production, optimization and humanization, utilizing a variety of technologies including hybridoma, mutagenesis and phage display.
  • Animal models for immunological studies.

An individual hired into one of these positions is expected to spend most time in our R&D and production branch based just outside of Shanghai to lead an R&D team/program that would expand Cyagen’s offerings into one or more of the above-listed areas.

Qualifications:

  • PhD in biology with extensive experience in one or more of the above areas.

Technical Support Scientist

We are currently seeking a Technical Support Scientist to work in Santa Clara, CA.

Job Description:

  • Provide technical advisement to potential and existing customers.
  • Qualify sales leads.
  • Coordinate project management with our scientists in China.

Qualifications:

  • Mandarin speaker strongly preferred.
  • Graduate degree in biology required (Minimum MS; PhD preferred).
  • Laboratory experience required, preferably hands-on experience with genetic animal models and/or vector cloning.

Part-time/Full-time Sales Representative - Cyagen Biosciences GmbH

Cyagen is seeking several dedicated VectorBuilder.com sales representatives to be based across the EU. This is a home-based position visiting potential customers at local research institutions.

Job Description:

The Sales Representative is responsible for introducing potential clients in academia, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and contract research organizations within their local area to Cyagen’s web-based DNA vector design and custom cloning platform: VectorBuilder. The Sales Representative must become familiar with VectorBuilder and its potential research applications.

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Identify new leads through proactive site visits, walking halls, and outbound phone and email communications with potential clients.
  • Meet or exceed sales goals by actively generating new leads, consistently following up with prospects, asking for business, and working with sales, leadership and technical departments to meet customer needs.
  • Maintain good working relationships with all clients.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum BS in biology, preferably with an emphasis in genetics or molecular biology (MS preferred).
