Strain Description
The TAA stop codon was replaced with "P2A-DTR-EGFP" cassette. DTR (Diphtheria Toxin Receptor) and enhanced green fluorescent protein (EGFP) are expressed under the regulatory control of Retnlg gene elements, without impacting the endogenous expression of the Retnlg gene. This model enables EGFP fluorescence protein tracing studies.
Announcement
The insertion site of the EGFP gene expression cassette in this strain is located on chromosome 16. Please avoid breeding with gene-edited mice targeting genes on the same chromosome as the EGFP mouse when conducting mating.
